The Little Brown Bird
Once down to only 80 in the wild, the Florida Grasshopper Sparrow is at risk of extinction. Biologist Fabiola ‘Fabby’ Baeza-Tarin and an unexpected team work together to protect the sparrows, their shrinking habitat, and the headwaters of the Everglades. Through these efforts, America's most endangered songbird is saving a landscape.
The Little Brown Bird is directed by emerging conservation filmmaker KT Bryden and executive produced by renowned photographer and National Geographic Explorer Carlton Ward Jr. Both provide stunning cinematography for the film, offering a rare view of habitats that many aren’t familiar with. The film also emphasizes the collaborative nature of successful conservation work, showing the many groups that work together on this issue including: fighter pilots, cowboys, scientists, and more.
